Adepts
The Adepts (aka Adepts) are a former prison gang previously known as LS Group, whose members were notorious murderers and cannibals. Devoid of morality, they resorted not only to eating human flesh to survive, but also to consuming zombie meat. They developed a unique preparation method that completely destroys the virus spores.

History of the Adepts
Before the apocalypse began, the members of the Adepts belonged to an infamous prison gang of highly dangerous criminals known as LS Group. They were serving life sentences or awaiting execution on death row in the state's federal prison.
They were among the most depraved criminals imaginable, imprisoned for cannibalism, dismemberment, serial murder, and other horrific crimes.
Those who were allowed to move freely around the prison would hunt down newly arrived inmates and careless loners, brutally beating them, ripping out their fingernails, breaking their bones, and crushing their skulls.
Shortly before the apocalypse began, an order was issued to transfer most of the gang's members to a maximum-security facility in an attempt to put an end to their atrocities.
However, on the day of the transfer, the zombie virus outbreak occurred.
In the chaos that followed, some of the inmates — including most of the gang — managed to escape from the prison.
During the escape, the most deranged members of the gang attacked the guards and stole their weapons.
For the first couple of months, the gang wandered across what is now known as the Wasteland, searching for unfortunate survivors they could rob or eat, as well as a territory where they could finally settle down.
During particularly cold winter nights, they broke into abandoned houses, looting and vandalizing them along the way.
After many long months of wandering, they came across a poultry farm that was still operating sometime during spring.
Excited by the potential value of their discovery, they began taking turns observing the farm and studying how its security operated.
The fact that military forces were occupied with dealing with hordes of zombies attacking the city worked greatly in their favor.
The soldiers stationed at the poultry farm were clearly inexperienced. They constantly made mistakes: falling asleep while on duty, playing cards, reading books, and generally failing to pay proper attention to patrols and security.
After only a few days of surveillance, the gang raided the farm under the cover of darkness.
It took them only a couple of hours to seize the entire facility.
The people living there were herded into a freezer, while two armed gang members were stationed at the entrance.
The others went to explore the territory.
The facility, filled with various tools designed for slaughtering and processing poultry — tools that could just as easily be tested on humans — seemed like the perfect place for them to settle.
At first, the military attempted to retake the territory.
However, the poultry farm was perfectly suited for defense, while the city's armed forces lacked the manpower necessary to lay siege to the stronghold due to the growing threat of zombie attacks on Los Santos.
By early summer, familiar faces began returning to the gang.
Among them was the most brutal member of its original ranks — the most cunning, capable, and ruthless of them all.
A cannibalistic serial killer.
The most dangerous inmate among them.
He had been one of those who seemingly failed to escape the prison on the fateful day of the Beginning.
As it turned out, he had never even tried to escape.
Instead, he hunted down guards and inmates who attempted to flee and handcuffed them to pipes, bars, tables, and anything else that could not easily be moved.
Over the following months, he gradually ate them piece by piece.
When he realized that one of his captives was nearing death, he would capture zombies, dismember them, prepare their flesh using different methods, and then feed it to his unfortunate prisoners.
He was searching for the safest possible method of preparing the flesh of the living dead for consumption.
Thanks to the respect he had earned in the old days, his sharp mind, extraordinary brutality, and natural leadership abilities, he became the gang's leader in the new world.
As more time passed after the initial outbreak, the gang increasingly found itself facing attacks from zombies as well as other survivors who wanted to seize their valuable territory.
They understood that without unity and mutual protection, they would never survive in this new world.
And so their faction was born.
They became known as the Adepts.
During the first year, the Adepts did not suffer from hunger thanks to their large supplies of poultry and human flesh.
However, because they had no knowledge of how to properly breed and maintain livestock, and because their reserves of poultry feed were gradually running out, they eventually lost their entire supply of chicken meat and eggs.
The faction was forced to search for new methods of survival.
That was when an old habit came to their aid:
cannibalism.
And along with it, the consumption of zombie flesh.
They began pretending to be a peaceful faction that participated in trade and barter.
From time to time, the Adepts visited other factions and exchanged goods and resources with them.
But people they considered weak or worthless for trade were brought back to their base...
and eaten.
Their methods were cruel and merciless.
The Adepts scalded their victims with boiling water to remove body hair, then slowly butchered them and cooked their flesh over an open fire.
For their own meals, they primarily used cuts from the chest and back while avoiding the internal organs.
For trade with other factions, they used tougher meat taken from the arms and legs.
They crafted cutlery and dishes from human bones and made jewelry from teeth and hair.
As a result, almost nothing remained of a person who fell into the hands of the Adepts that could later be used to identify them.
Currently, ten years after the explosion, the Adepts have begun accepting new members due to the intense competition within the Wasteland.
However, joining their ranks is far from easy.
Their initiation ritual requires a recruit to murder a person, dismember the body, prepare the flesh...
and eat it.
This ensures that only those they consider worthy can become one of them.
Those who fail the test face a considerably less fortunate fate.
Distinguishing Features
The Adepts have several distinctive characteristics.
Many of them are heavily tattooed as a result of their former prison lives. Among these tattoos is one design shared by all members — a tradition dating back to the days when they were still known as LS Group.
They predominantly wear burgundy clothing, which helps conceal bloodstains.
They frequently use profanity in conversation and address one another exclusively by nicknames.
Most of them are poorly educated.
Unique Traits and Behavior
Every member of the faction is wanted by law enforcement because of their criminal history.
If their identity is established through official records, they can be arrested under Article 16.5 of the Criminal Code.
The Adepts do not merely consume the flesh of humans and zombies.
They also frequently serve their horrifying meals to their own victims and to unfortunate travelers who happen to visit their base.
The faction may also butcher victims while they are still alive and subject them to various forms of torture before preparing them as food.
Behavior type: extremely aggressive.
